SOLD for $302,000 Lot 335 1937 Crocker V-Twin Engine no. 37-61-25 One of the rarest of all American motorcycles, the Crocker 'Big Tank' twin offered here was purchased at a Chicago auction in September 2000, at which time it was stated that Mike Lange had worked on the engine's restoration. Since acquisition the Crocker has been on display in the vendor's private museum in the UK. The previous owner was one Thomas M Baer of Janesville, Wisconsin, who had acquired it from Ian Abrams of Pepper Pike, Ohio in January 1995 (see title assignment document on file). Recently re-commissioned, the Crocker will have been road tested for magazine features by renowned motorcycle racer/journalist Alan Cathcart prior to sale. Accompanying documentation consists of the aforementioned title assignment, operating instructions and various papers relating to its purchase in September 2000, including the Bill of Sale.
