| This is what they refer to as a "Pre-Facelift" R129 SL luxury sports car. That means it's between 1990 and 1995 model years, and this one is a 1991 500SL. In the last 6 months, it has a New High Output Battery; and (4) New Tires. This car is an affordable sports cars that is also a grand touring sports car with luxury. This car has two tops: 1. Hardtop (you can see in the pictures) with a new inside headliner. Many of these cars don't have the hardtop anymore, so it's a plus that this car still has it's original hardtop. 2. The cloth "ragtop" that becomes visible after you take the hardtop off the car. I use this car as a regular driver and I drive it almost every day. It's a real pleasure to drive and it does get some attention from people because you don't see a lot of them on the road. Parts are readily available if you're willing to buy: - Reconditioned and Used parts off of eBay. - Reconditioning Vendors that rebuild critical parts and systems. You send the part from your car to them and they rebuild it to modern standards. - Mercedes-Benz dealers still have some parts available for this car. - 3D Printing Technology. Different companies focus on different types of parts, etc. in this realm. I've had this car since Jan. 2019 and I've made sure to make repairs to keep it running and so forth. It still needs work if you want it to have a new paint job or a new convertible top. I have all the receipts from the work that I've had done since 2019.
