Best-in-Class and Second Place winner at the Shelby American Motor City Show and Go (2001 & 2002) at Ford World HQ. Under the hood: 427FE Ford NASCAR side-oiler professionally built by HP Racing Engines (only 6,500 miles on the engine and car); LeMans rods, steel crankshaft, Comp Cam, SS valves, forged pistons, plenum box (turkey box) around carburetor as per original SC, Snellings and Hellings air cleaner, Holley 750 cfm carburetor, MSD ignition and distributor, high-performance Canton racing oil pan with windage tray, high-volume pressure oil pump, oil cooler system with stainless braided lines, heavy duty electric rear-mounted (puller) fan. The geartrain: all this thundering power is processed to the pavement through a Lakewood racing bellhousing, a rugged Ford 4-speed toploader gearbox and a high-performance Jag IRS, 3:54:1 ratio with positraction differential. Suspension/rolling stock: Spax coil-over front & rear shocks, 6-pin Trigo aluminum wheels with Halibrand polished aluminum spinners as original SC. Other stuff: ceramic-coated silver original headers and sidepipes, triple chromed rollbar, original-style rivet mounted hood scoop, front & rear bumper hoops, trunk-mounted battery with kill switch. The Interior: original Smiths instrument gauges, SC-style dash and glove box that was recently autographed by Carroll Shelby, all original switches and engraved knobs, AC cast-aluminum pedal pads, Moto-Lita steering wheel, custom-fit tonneau cover, competition seat belts and soft car cover; convertible top needs to be fitted to the car.
