| Double Venom–produced Viper V10-powered Cobra by Classic Roadsters, replica of 1966 Shelby 427SC. Fire Prism Burgundy/ghost stripes (DuPont ChromaLusion mystique paint). This crowd-dazzling beauty was the Spring Fling raffle car at the 2004 London Cobra Show in London, Ohio. It was professionally built by Ed DV†Combs as his personal serpent. Under the hood: 488 cid balanced/ blueprinted Dodge Viper GTS Generation II V10 crate engine [which delivers a smooth 460 + horsepower/ 500 ft./lbs. torque, 427 horsepower to the rear wheels]. Gear-train: T 56 six-speed transmission, PRO 5.0 shifter, hydraulic clutch. Chassis, suspension & brakes: powder-coated frame, independent rear suspension, Flaming River rack & pinion steering, tubular front A-arms, fully-adjustable Eagle coil-over shocks;13" Baer front disc brakes, front/rear bias adjuster; rear end is double wishbone Thunderbird 8.8" IRS with 3.55:1 gearing. Halibrand-style Compomotive 16" wheels (8" front/10" rear) fitted with Cooper Cobra rubber. The 94.5" wheelbase provides you with larger door openings (easier in & out) and extended legroom for taller guys. In the interior: premium Argentine leather seats & dash adjustable seats, Stewart Warner gauges, [safety harnesses: 5-point driver, 4-point passenger], 4-point rollbar; electric doors open from inside or out. Period-correct LeMans-style aluminum gas filler assembly. This breathtaking reptile is show-proven, fully sorted out, a visceral thrill to drive, and very fast—not for the faint-of-heart. The finish is great condition, street quality with deep shine, only minor/ incidental chips from driving. Only 8,400 miles/ ±13,500 km on the odometer. |
