| This is a very special Cup Car with outstanding provenance! Delivered by the Factory in 2004 to Farnbacher Racing USA, the car competed only twice in that year, once at Infineon and again at Laguna Seca. Driven by Wolf Henzler in those two World Challenge races, it scored 2 poles, with 2 victories and set 2 new lap records in the process! In 2005 at the 24 Hours of Daytona, it established a new best GT qualifying time took the pole and finished first in GT and 10th overall. Further on, during the 2005 World Challenge series, it competed in 9 races, gathering 6 poles, 3 first place finishes and 6 podiums. In February 2006 the Farnbacher Racing sold the car to its current owner who used it lightly to hone his driving skills at a number of PCA Driver Education events though 2008. Though out its use as a race and track car, it has never sustained structural damage and carries the same Henzler Blue paint and Applied Materials livery as it did in the World Challenge series. During its entire history it has been maintained to a very high standard. The vast majority of the maintenance under its current owner was performed by European Performance Engineering until the owner moved to North Carolina. All records of their work come with the car. The car has undergone impeccable preparation so it can be passed on to its next owner in the best of mechanical and cosmetic condition: PMNA just completed a total rebuild and refresh of the engine in August, so it now has “zero hours†other than its dyno test, where it produced an indicated 483 HP at 8,900 RPM; MoTeC shift lights are currently set at 8,200 RPM and are easily changed The gearbox was rebuilt/refreshed and the clutch assembly inspected in July of ’07 and has had limited and light use since that time, as the car has seen no track use since July of ’08. Once the engine work was completed by PMNA, the chassis and engine were reunited at Synergy Racing’s facility in Virginia and the car completely gone through to prepare it for sale. The car currently is housed in the owner’s garage at VIR in Virginia. Equipment and records included with the car upon its sale include: - 2 Cobra race seats - High resolution Race Cam w/ S-VHS and stereo option - MoTeC ADSL with MoTeC brake pressure sensor and MoTeC GPS - Performance Radio AR500 passenger/driver intercom - 3 Sets of new/unused Michelin “Yellow†race slicks - Muffler exhaust traps - Paint codes for Hinzler Blue exterior finish - Spare rim set, spare front panel, and spare left/right fender panels - All service and repair records since March of 2006, including the recent invoice from PMNA - With everything possible being done to insure that this historic race car is in perfect race ready condition, it is being offered at: $117,000 - OBO. |
