by Unique Motorcars. Viking Blue/black leather upholstery. The BIG Picture: Click Here! California SB-100 eligible. Attention tall drivers: If you’re a tall Cobra enthusiast who has always wanted to own a Cobra but had to sit and watch from the sidelines, here is your car! For those of you who are 6'3" tall or taller and just couldn't shoehorn yourself into your own Cobra, your day has finally come. In fact, if you are under 6'5" tall, you probably won't be able to reach the pedals! Interior modifications to this FIA Cobra accommodate a driver up to 7'0" tall (such as I... I'm 7'0" tall!). This incredible reptile still retains the stock 90" wheelbase and overall configurations, and you WILL be looking under the windshield frame. This FIA Cobra only has 2,600 gentle rain-free miles on it and has always been stored in a climate-controlled garage under a cover. You'll benefit from many upgrades from the original Unique Motorcars pallet car. Under the hood: 425 hp Ford Windsor 351 V8 with Keith Black 10:1 pistons, and topped with aluminum Avenger cylinder heads, a Chet Herbert cam, Weiand ‘Stealth’ manifold, and a Holley 750 cfm 4-barrel carb. Spark is delivered through an MSD 6AL rev-limit adjustable ignition and distributor. The engine also utilizes a Melling high-volume oil pump, a windage tray inside of a Milodan 7 qt. road race oil pan, a dual remote oil filter, oil cooler, and braided SS lines; the engine bay boasts bright aluminum panels, as does the trunk and the nose area around the oil cooler and radiator. Gear-train: Centerforce II Dual Friction clutch, a rugged toploader 4-speed gearbox, and a fine, narrowed Jag IRS in the rear [specifically to accommodate the deeper-dish rear wheels; those PS Engineering 15" wheels are clear powder-coated to preserve the polishing]. Other upgrades you get include: a custom-fitted interior installed by a southern California hot rod shop once the interior modifications were completed, additional support struts to the front A-arms, Carrera adjustable shocks, modified rear fender flares to match the original FIA Competition Cobras, and painted meatballs†with pinstriping around each of the color changes on the body. I have over $60K invested including the $10K paint and body work. This car was showcased in a magazine article titled "Size Matters"†to demonstrate that a Cobra really can be built to accommodate taller drivers without altering any of the original dimensions. Come and see for yourself! Enclosed trailer transport delivery to you is available at additional cost. Note: FIA†is the abbreviation for the Paris-based Federation Internationale de l'Automobile,†the governing body for the WMC (World Manufacturers Championship) competition of the 1960s, and today is the governing body for many motor racing events; Shelby's 289FIA was specifically designed to meet FIA regulations. |
